since living out west, i have been able to be around so many of my cousins. it has been so much fun! each day i think that. especially living with a couple of my cousins. i love them to death.
for all my life, we have really never really lived close to them. and really, i have always felt like the odd ball out at family reunions and so forth, cause we were always the ones that lived so far and hadn't established that relationship with one another.
well, i haven't lost hope, cause even now, i realize how we can still establish friendships, and really have! last night, one of my cousins came into town, after not seeing him, for seriously 5-6 years. it was so fun to reminisce and exchange stories. about when we were little, the memories our aunts have about us, and about our grandpa. we laughed, there were tender moments, and there were of course some tears.
as i hung out more with my cousin, and we met up with another one of my cousins and his wife, i realized we are all at a time in our lives, that we have a lot of things to figure out. we are at very VERY different stages, but at the same time, we are all at a point where we can choose anything.
he, my cousin, gave me a piece of advice that will help me forever. he said we can go anywhere in life, and we can be happy. we make it what we want it to be, but there WILL be work, but you can make it work.
with that, i face the challenges/changes in my life, and try to figure it all out!
with family, we just laughed. we take care of each other, and we are always looking out for one another!
**sorry no pictures.... i kinda spaced it!
