really, all i can say is God bless america. i remember when i was in argentina, and someone would do something really dumb... or when we'd pass like 5 dogs to get into our apartment, the phrase 'god bless america' would always come out.
after living in another country, i think one really come to appreciate their homeland. this was the first fourth of july since being home. i remember this holiday being one that i really missed while being in argentina.
my morning began with a close friend and her great family study. becky from the mtc, and her family are super amazing. they have a great legacy in the US armed forces. a big flag was hung in front of the home. we then sang the star spangled banner, and recited the pledge of allegience. it had been a LONG time.. like elementary school since i had recited that. but i am so grateful for this amazing country i live in!
it did rain ALL afternoon.. but what is a girl to do. i watch emperor's groove, and then we headed off to the firework show! i LOVE IT!! every moment of it!
a good handful of patriotic songs were played as the big booms from the fireworks went off! it was so wonderful!!

I love your new blog head picture! I am glad you enjoyed your first 4th back in town!
