ode to my parents

i was talking with a friend several nights ago, and it really created me thinking - - and talking about my parents.

i am so lucky to have so many influential people in my life. so many people who i feel care about me, and want the best for me. but as i think of it most of all---- two people who have really had the greatest influence in who i am today, are my mom and dad. two imperfect people, but two people i could never live without, and could have never become who i am without them.

each of my parents has such admirable characteristics. my mother is one of the funniest people ever. she is so confident in who she is and what she does, with ever right to do so. she always would say that she looks like michelle phifer. the reasoning behind this statement is that it doesn't matter what other people think about her. she thinks that is what she looks like, and that is what matters! so silly, but so funny!

i love my parents, despite their craziness!
