this weekend i visited one of your locations, with a friend who enjoys these types of places maybe a bit more than i do. the location we were able to experiences was the wienery.
what an experience! it always is so fun to be with a friend and soak up the environment of this dive.
i wish i would've taken pictures to accurately share what an enjoyable time we had. as we ate your picnic dog, and the drive - in dog, along with cheesy fries, we observed these two you kids running around the small restaurant, occasionally washing one or two dishes.
later, we saw one of the cook's friends, who was in plain sight, bring him a thing of butter and some mustard. i think the cook ran out. the hot dog was cooked to perfection, topped with either backed beans or chili, and coleslaw. the fries (friend in a homemade deep fryer), was topped with shredded, half melted cheese. it was such a great lunch.
to be honest, these are the places that memories are made. it was so fun to just talk and catch up with a friend as we embraced, what guy fieri would classify as a dive.
so, thank you diner, drive-in and dives, for referring me and my friend to this fun place! i can't wait to bring other friends to experiences the winery find more and continue my quest to visit more of these places.
