what a day. it has been quite a week really. last week we got word at work, that one of my co-workers had passed away on a scouting trip.
today i had the privilege of attending his funeral. i didn't think that i would be as emotional or as touched as i was, but for the short time that i knew this man, i really have been inspired to become a better person.
you never know what life is going to bring you. life really moves so rapidly, and any time of stick can be thrown into the wheel. therefore, don't waste a moment.
i am so overwhelmed with the idea of doing and being the best i can. i am SO weak, SO imperfect. i need all the support and love i can get from my friends and family. and as harsh as it may seem, i can waste my time on those who are going to help me progress.
i only hope that i can be the friend and sibiling that i know i need. in the end, those relationships that are in our lives, are what will carry us through.
thank you michael for teaching me that today -- and for being an example. it may have been a sad day, but i know that there is so much more to it, and you have forever changed the lives of many.
so today --- i hope to dedicate myself, and my life to the bigger purpose of things. the little, insignificant things, will not help me in the end. so i choose to do the opposite. embrace life, embrace the moments.
