lessons from the wise and successful

it is late for me. and i know in the morning i am going to regret doing this.... but i really have got to write this. i meant to write it last night, but tonight is the night, and i am not going to let it go another day in fear i'll forget it!

so i am really enjoying my job right now. more so because of the people i work with. i work with, for lack of better words, a diverse group of people. and i love it! more than anything i am learning a lot! i really do have this great desire to be successful, to do something with my life! it is a dream of mine! i would love to just be successful.

and i learned something from my bosses--- a principle, that i think will forever change my outlook on not only a career, but also life in general.

tony says: you need to surround your self with successful, smart people if you want to become successful. even though it could be intimidating or overwhelming and may appear impossible, it is the a way you can become successful. it is so true! i love it! if i surround myself with people who are better than me, i can't help but become a better and successful person!

also--- another lesson i learned last night, was the importance and great impact of the consistency. again, tony (who is my big boss) was commenting on why marketing in the company had been successful, and it was because they were constant in what they did. it wasn't sporadic effort, but a constant effort.

i realized that is the SAME with relationships/friendships. those friendships that are the strongest, are those that are constant, and don't just come in and out, and choose when and where, as they please.

and lastly, one of my best friends, jill, her dad got an amazing promotion today. her dad, is really like my second dad. he has helped me through a lot of things, counseled me, and i genuinely felt as thought he cares about me. but he is an amazingly successful man! i strive to emulate him. the principle that he has taught me, and has stayed with me since high school, is the principle of balance. if you can master this -- you can master and succeed in much!

from amazing men, i've learned and been reminded and inspired these last couple of days.

• surround yourself with smart, successful people
• be consistent
• have balance in all things

if i could follow these guidelines, i know that i will have success, and hope in my future! it is possible, and it does inspire me!
