trip to the west

it is the trip i have been waiting since i have been home. i have been so excited to see all my friends, mission and college friends. not to mention that it was great to go to confernece!

headed back to byu campus. that was funny. i had forgotten what goes on at a BYU. i just laugh to myself, and then sigh, realizing that that is the sphere of life that i am in, ie. singlehood. but it is great to be around people my age.

next...mission reuinon. it was so so great to see president hutchison and the hermana again. also all the hermanas. sorry elders.... i was way way more excited to see the hermanas. i missed them. afterwards we made our way out to the cheescak
e factory. it felt so good to be going out with friends. mica, one of my mission companions, made the comment "it feels like home when we are all together". it really really does! i have missed these people. i care so much for them. and i think most of all, we have shared something in our lives that has 1.) changed us forever and 2.) is such a big part of who we are now! it is just amazing. i truly love these people and feel that i would do anything for them.

general conference. well it is pretty cool, ever since s
tarting college, i have been blessed to be able to attend a session or more to every conference, minus the time i was on my mission. i was able to get tickets from home to a sunday session. and then e' barnes gave me some tickes to go, as well as e' thopmson kept his promise, and we went to a session as well (thompson, ritter, and i). it was so fun to hang out with friends, and not feel guilty that we were having so much fun as friends. i really loved conference. it was just what i needed in this point in time. however, that does mean i have a several big steps right in front of me.

boys and dating. well i am coming to realize i am going to be a disaster. everyone is making jokes about it, and several friends are on the dating scene already (since the mission). i am so so .... i don't know what the word is. i think maybe cause it changes moment to moment. nervous, scared, feel like i am still werid to do that, excited, anxious. i guess the roller coaster of emotions continues. needless to say there is nothing as of now. and that is ok!

friends. i have only been here for a copule of days but it has been good. i have another week and i hope to see more people! i can't wait!

thinking. well i have been telling everyone that this trip will tell a lot about what is to come. i think that is so true still, but it is giving me a lot more to think about. more than i was anticipating. so i have a lot to still sort out. but i feel like i have been empowered.

ok.. so top ten of the weekend, in no particular order:

10.) getting my high heel (to my shoe) stuck in the drains on the conference center grounds. i felt like cinderella. unfortunetly that wasn't the first time that has happened to me.

9.) empanadas at the mission reunion. they were a little different, but lets be honest it was the idea.

8.) changing in between sessions on saturday, in a parking garage in order to go to girls night out.

7.) i felt like i was back in argentina, everywhere mica and i go, people honk their horn. i don't get it!

6.) lunch with 3 of my aunts, a cousin, one grandma, my mom and a great aunt!

5.) staying out till the wee hours with friends laughing and reminising about the mission. of course over a plate of food!

4.) feeding the seaguls in the conference parking lot, in order to test if they really would attack people for food.

3.) making friends while we sat a waited for conference to start. not to mention the wonderful people watching.

2.) realizing that even though i am given such a hard time for loving food, or just knowing a lot of information about other people (aka chisme) that t
here ARE other people that are just bad (or if you'd like to look at it ... just as good) as i am. i just am 'spotlighted' or something

1.) truly the number one highlight... being here with friends that truly mean a lot to me!: madrid, taylor, frye, miller, mica and rob, thompson, ritter, carrie, and so SO many more to come! sharing stories, just truly being happy again, and having a sincere, geunine smile on my face!
