funny moment: my mom and i went to Costco to get ready for a youth retreat we are going on. we had a pretty good amount of things rolling out of the store. so you know how you have to get your receipt checked before exiting out of the store. right....so it was this pretty buff kid. i mean he looked normal, like a nice kid. and then he made some comment on how much we bought. first of thanks for the fat kids joke, i thought to myself. and then i realized his voice was really REALLY high. it was so funny. i had to hold it in. it caught me so off guard. i thought he was part of Jim Henson's muppet show...like beaker or something. it was probably not a very nice thought, but it was so funny to hear this high pitched voice come out of a manly looking person.
god's hand in my day: as i was driving down with an old young womens leader, we got talking about my old youth group. it is just unbelievable how we have all grown up so much. the friends that i have made and kept in contact with has been just a blessing in my life. and even more so, how much the youth program really molded who i was, and got me through high school. i realized today that it is so crucial, that is why the youth are so important in the church. i have good friends who have good values, who are constantly helping me become a better person.
grateful: brothers. drewbaby did a little dance off as i recorded it for alex. we miss alex a lot! it was so funny. just yesterday drew and i were talking about the memories we have as sibilings, the trips, the laughters, the jokes. my brothers are my everything. i am excited for what lies ahead of them. i love laughing with drew, it is funny! my brothers help me become me.
