dear small town minnesota

dear small town minnesota,

so when i go visit places like this small town minnesota, i realize what a city girl i am. and well, i am sure most of my friends KNOW that am a city girl, i'd like to think they still accept me for it and embrace it.

but for the city girl that i am, i sure enjoying visiting you, small town minnesota. we had the great privilege to spend a weekend with these great people! it all started at the convenience store we ran to before it closed at 9PM. we then went on over to the local bar and grill. i think these people were taken back that there were 6 of us spending the weekend up there, and not drinking. haha.

we found ourselves laughing together, smiling, laughing more, creating memories, and just relaxing. we really just took it hour by hour! i think one of my most favorite parts was to be cooking with my friends!

after going to the local grocery store in the morning (where i was greeted with a flower), we discovered there was a winter celebration! so of course, without hesitation, we went on down to the celebration. it included it all! cookie contest, hay ride, bratwersts, caroling, and kettle corn. immediately from getting down from the car, we were immediately invited to go on a hay ride. we then went down to the lake.... the FROZEN lake. it was one of the most beautiful things i had ever seen!

i really HEART minnesota!

we then went back to the celebration where we mingled with the small town minnesota people! it as so great. i love just talking to people and learning their story. somehow, we then became the city's carolers. we were out on a wagon and we sang in front of the entire group! hahahahaha! it was so memorable. we sure dominated. we ended the event with the small town, christmas tree lighting.

i hope these people had as much of a good time as we did! i really just left with a smile on my face. who does that.. i ask myself. what group of young single adults goes and has a blast, at small town event. it was then i realized how great life is.

i think when we can really enjoy the simplest things, and find joy in the happiness of others, that is when life is truly the greatest!

thanks for a great weekend small town minnesota! we'll try our hardest to make it to the next winter celebration.

love,
ta
