today we actually got to see the city. it was so great. we started early, but it was worth it all. alex showed us the ropes when it came to driving.
we looked over the gates to see hati. but that is all we could do. then we went to church where these dominicans definitely sang better than the argentines. later we got to visit a couple of families. and as I expected, the just loved and would do anything for alex – their missionaries.
the day kept going –we met up with an old companion. it was fun to hear his stories. mom kept eluding to the fact that he should be in our family. but we all laughed.in fact the whole way home, we all laughed. mom, drew and i were in the back; as alex and dad concentrated on the road and not getting into an accident -- - we just cracked jokes left and right.
