olympic times

these last several days, i've really loved watching the olympics when i can. but i think best part of the olympics is seeing these winners (and hearing our national anthem). the look on their faces -- is some of the most memorable images in my minds.

i look at their faces, and imagine myself in their moment. all their hard work, resulted in something so great, so momentous, so satisfying. and they deserve every moment of glory.

and then i think of all the laughter, joy, and smiles in our lives. i'll be the first to say that life isn't always 'perfect' or 'ideal' but life is so good!i know that we all will go through our peaks and valleys, but every time i am in those valleys i think of those peaks, and how worth it, it will all be!

i long for that day, for those days, when in each moment, i'm just so overly happy -- when i look like that person who just won a gold medal. i know that in between those days it will be hard work, at times i'll want to quit (or move away). but that feeling --- that's all this girl asks for.

and real quick, on the flip side -- i think being that person who can help another hit that peak -- that moment of complete and utter joy and happiness, that is a person of POWER! those are the people that we need to have in our lives, and i hope that at least to one person -- i can be that for someone.

this week i got to spend some time with some recently returned missionaries, they reminded me of the happiness and joy that period in my life was. i just longed to talked to these two, and just spend as much time -- as i soaked in all of their greatness

you know, lately,  just in these last couple of days, i have realized how many of those people have been sent along my path (and those experiences), and to them i am so grateful for that reminder of opportunity.
