i hope that each of us can think of someone that fits those lyrics. each time an 'event' happens in my life, i always find someone who is there to lift me up, encourage me. i truly believe that certain people have come into my life and really changed me for good.
ever since i met carrie miller, and we discovered that we were practically cousins, i knew that Heavenly Father had put her in my life to help me become the person i was to be. don't get be wrong, not everything has been perfect and without road bumps (we are human and girls. haha), but it is because of those rough times, that we have become so close and i am led to believe, that it has also led us to care more for one another.
last week, i was having a rough time, with my own set of struggles. it was that carrie that helped me realize/remember that i was not alone, and that my Heavenly Father was watching over me. she taught me that even though i felt hurt, alone, betrayed that my Heavenly Father was right by my side. and even more so, that maybe He was protecting me, and preparing me for something better. i found so much comfort and strength in that, is what has helped me begin to heal.
friendships have the power to change us for good. i love ya carrie miller smith! thank you for being a strength to me!

Talise, you're not allowed to write things like that, you made me bawl! I love ya...and I know Heavenly Father sent us to good 'ole La Jolla 304 at the same time for a reason! So grateful he lead us to find each other. And I can't thank you enough for all you do for me!!
